What is Jeridoo?

Jeridoo was the first free North American Exchange-Community for Movies, Games, Music and Books. The Members are listing their own collection of different products and offer them for sale. The recipient receives the ordered product directly from the Seller, who ships it directly and pays for postage. The selling Member receives payment in form of Jeridoo-Points. Jeridoo-Points can be used to purchase other products on Jeridoo.com and its affiliates.

How does it work?

First you choose the movie, game or book you would like to buy. The current owner of the item will send it by mail to you and pay for shipping (around $1.64). You are now the rightful owner of the purchased product. You are not renting the product, you OWN the product. You can keep it as long as you desire or list it on Jeridoo again. You can even change the price and ask more or less for the same product. Or you keep the item in your private collection.

Why should I trade my DVDs and not rent them?

If you rent a DVD instead of buying it on Jeridoo, you pay rental fee, which are sometimes expensive and you don’t own the product. Many proud DVD, Book and Game collectors love the idea of keeping a steady amount of great products in their private collection, yet trading off some of the items to acquire new great movies, books or games. Jeridoo let’s you buy these items at a better price. And you can get it used or new. The choices on Jeridoo are huge.

What are Jeridoo-Points?

Jeridoo-Points are not currency. The Jerdioo-Points is only Jeridoo-Currency on Jeridoo.com and its affiliates. You use these points to purchase your products. 1 Jeridoo-Point = 1 US$. 

You will NOT exchange real US$ or any other form of currency on Jeridoo. No credit card payments for you to worry about. If you order a DVD from another member then you pay with Jeridoo-Points from your account. The selling member will send you the product and once you confirm receipt of the item, then the points are transferred to the selling member. The more items you trade – the more Jeridoo-Points you collect to purchase more products.  

Jeridoo Points cannot be exchanged for an official currency. When you add a product our platform will SUGGEST a price. This price is shown in Jeridoo Points. Our system compares the price offered on amazon USED and other websites. You do not have to accept this price offering and feel free TO CHANGE THE PRICE for as many points you wish to sell it for. The difference between Jeridoo and competitive websites is that you work with these points like they are real money. We feel that a new BlueRay Movie is worth much more than just "one credit" or "one trade credit". Sell it for 40 JP credits and buy with your money 2, 3 or more products

Is Jeridoo legal?

Jeridoo is 100% legal, because you always trade original products. If a Member tries to trade counterfeit items he will be excluded with immediate effect and law enforcement agencies are informed.

What does it cost?

Jeridoo is absolutely FREE. There are no sign-up fees, no annual fees, trading fees, listing fees or any other hidden costs. The only expense you have is the postage on the products you send to other members. Within the United States it costs you on average of US$ 1.31 to US$ 1.64 per envelope (First Class Mail).

How do I order a DVD from another Jeridooer?

You can order from another Members after you registered free on Jeridoo. Just browse the current listings and once you found the DVD, Book, Game or other item you would like to purchase click “order it now”. We will inform the other member with an email to send you the item. Once you received the item and confirmed it by marking it “received” in “my account” we will transfer the Jeridoo Points to the selling member.

How do I list my own DVDs, Games, Books and Music CDs?

You only need a DVD, Game, CD or other Jeridoo allowed product and the bar code, also known as UPC, on the back of the item. You type this UPC into the „list new item“ area and Jeridoo will do the rest for you. Try it out, it’s easy, fast and fun! The product will be offered immediately for trade on Jerdioo. Once you ship the product to another member, you will receive the Jerdioo-Points.

Can I list products without the UPC (Bar Code) on Jeridoo?

Currently you can only list items with a valid UPC code. Illegal items, e.g. child pornography are prohibited and cannot be listed.

How is the value for my items calculated?

Jeridoo evaluates the value of your inserted item automatically. It compares it to other Jerdioo listings, amazon used prices, competitive websites and retail prices. You can change the price of the item as you wish. We suggest you work with the value of your product like you would sell it for "real" money.

In what condition do my products have to be?

Every product traded on Jerdioo must meet minimum condition, if not other stated in the additional description. If nothing is stated, the product must be complete as originally sold: including booklets, manuals, covers. The item has to be playable and not damaged. DVD’s, CD’s and LaserDisc must have the original cover box and the DVD, BlueRays, HDDVD can only have minor scratches and must be playable. Books must have a clean cover, all pages and no major tears.

How does the Jeridoo guarantee work?

You are protected 100% with the Jerdioo Guarantee. Jeridoo reimburses and covers any loss during shipping or if you receive an item damaged. You will receive the paid Jeridoo Points back if a trade fails.

Jeridoo is free – how can I donate and support Jeridoo?

Jeridoo is free. We are one big happy community. If you wish to support us you may purchase additional Jeridoo Points or directly donate funds through the donation button on the website. Invite all your friends, family and co-workers to join Jeridoo. For every new members you successfully bring we give you 10 Jeridoo Points.

What does it mean to „pause my item“

With the Pause-Symbol you can automatically pause all items in your account. Or you can pause individual items if you don’t wish to offer them for trade at the moment. You can edit items if the condition of the item changed or you wish to add additional information. If you chose option “pause for 7 days” – the item will list after 7 days.

What should I do if I go on vacation?

With the Pause-Symbol you can automatically pause all items in your account. After your relaxing vacation, just resume all items with one finger click.

I ordered a product but it hasn’t shipped for days. What should I do?

By ordering an item both parties enter into a trading agreement. The selling member must ship the item. The day the item ships the selling member must mark the product as “sent confirmed”. 5 days after placed order the selling member will receive a reminder email to ship the item. We will send out a total of 2 reminder emails to the seller. The trade will be cancelled after 10 days if it’s not marked as shipped by the seller. You will receive your paid Jeridoo-Points back. The non-shipping member will be warned. If this reoccurs too many times we might cancel the other members free membership and assume he abondoned our community.

I ordered a product, which was shipped, but I never received it. What now?

Once the item is marked shipped by the selling member and you don’t confirm receipt within 14 days the trade will be cancelled by Jeridoo. Before we cancel the trade you will receive several notification emails from us to look out of the item. If you still didn’t receive it, we will cancel the trade and reimburse you the Jeridoo Points. The seller will keep the points and the receiver will get reimbursed too. If a member abuses the system we keep the right to cancel the membership. We know that our US postal office sometimes loses stuff, but we always hope for honesty and fair trade between all members.

I completely forgot to ship an item, what should I do?

After 10 days the trade will be cancelled. If the trade hasn’t been cancelled yet you must immediately mark it as shipped and send the item to the other Jeridoo Member. Once the trade is cancelled, you don’t have to ship it anymore.

FAQ Answers to the feedback and rating system.

How do I rate a trade and leave a feedback?

The feedback and rating system should not be misused for personal messages. There are two main criteria’s in rating a trade: „how fast was it shipped?“ and “is the product condition as advertised?”.  


The selling member has 10 days to ship the product. A late shipping date doesn’t justify leaving a negative feedback or rating. A neutral or negative feedback can be left, if the product is much different than advertised and described. However, some damages on DVD cases or Book covers can also be caused during shipping and does not justify rating the member neutral or negative. In this case please contact Jeridoo. If you receive a pirated copy of a product you must inform Jeridoo immediately and not leave any feedbacks. We will pursue the matter further. If the product was described different than the actual condition e.g. “DVD has no scratches” – but the actual DVD has huge deep scratches then you might consider leaving a neutral or negative feedback. Be nice to each other.

With neutral or negative feedback ratings you can leave an answer below that feedback. This should not be used to take revenge on the other member, rather to explain your side of the situation.
