'A group of Canadian mothers are trying to get a date with Hollywood hunk Jason Momoa. 'Movies for Mommies' is a group that organizes movies for mothers and their newborn babies. The group was created because a lot of mothers love going to the moves but feel they can’t go with a crying baby for fear of disrupting the audience. This group gives mothers the opportunity to have the same experience in a baby-friendly atmosphere. It has features like changing tables and free baby wipes at the mother's disposal.
The group got the idea of inviting Jason Momoa because he is currently in Vancouver filming a science fiction series for Apple TV. 'Movies for Mommies' wants him to show up for the groups screening of Aquaman. 'Movies for Mommies' has tagged Momoa on social media, hoping he'll see it and make an appearance.
Momoa's star is definitely on the rise as he is scheduled to make an appearance in the next Fast and Furious film. Momoa has gained a reputation for being an easy-approachable and fun-loving guy who likes to interact with his fans. Previously, he was in hot water after he played Khal Drogo on HBO’s Game of Throne series after he joked about getting to rape beautiful woman on the show. Momoa later apologized for his comment in an Instagram post. The comment sparked particular outrage as it came on the Heels of the Me Too movement and the behaviour of some of Hollywood’s biggest players. However, unlike some other Hollywood Stars, he seems to have bounced back from his off-colour comment.
Part of his popularity is due to the fact that Aquaman his DC’s most successful film ever, passing the billion dollar mark with $316.5 million domestic, putting it right between other superhero movies Iron Man 2 and Iron Man. The success of Aquaman is sure to spawn a sequel or two. In fact, there is rumours that Aquaman 2 has already been put into development with James Wan to return to direct.
The big Aquaman dollars, however came from overseas adventure putting it past the unadjusted global totals of Chris Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. Aquaman still sits behind only The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II as the third-biggest Time Warner flick of all time.
There is no word on whether Monmoa plans to make an appearance at Movies for Mommies.
