'A group of Canadian mothers are trying to get a date with Hollywood hunk Jason Momoa. 'Movies for Mommies' is a group that organizes movies for mothers and their newborn babies. The group was created because a lot of mothers love going to the moves but feel they can’t go with a crying baby for fear of disrupting the audience. This group gives mothers the opportunity to have the same experience in a baby-friendly atmosphere. It has features like changing tables and free baby wipes at the mother's disposal.
The group got the idea of inviting Jason Momoa because he is currently in Vancouver filming a science fiction series for Apple TV. 'Movies for Mommies' wants him to show up for the groups screening of Aquaman. 'Movies for Mommies' has tagged Momoa on social media, hoping he'll see it and make an appearance. Momoa's star is definitely on the rise as he is scheduled to make an appearance in the next Fast and Furious film. Momoa has gained a reputation for being an easy-approachable and fun-loving guy who likes to interact with his fans. Previously, he was in hot water after he played Khal Drogo on HBO’s Game of Throne series after he joked about getting to rape beautiful woman on the show. Momoa later apologized for his comment in an Instagram post. The comment sparked particular outrage as it came on the Heels of the Me Too movement and the behaviour of some of Hollywood’s biggest players. However, unlike some other Hollywood Stars, he seems to have bounced back from his off-colour comment.

The newest DC comic film Aquaman has already grossed $483 million worldwide, including $72 million domestically and by anyone’s standard, it is off to an amazing start. The film about the City of Atlantis which has become an underwater kingdom is already a sizable hit and it’s on course to be their biggest domestic and global grosser of 2018.
For DC Comics, it’s a great way to end the year. How has this changed things for the comic-book creator turned studio? it is standard practice after any DC Film movie to examine what its success (or relative failure) means for the brand as a whole. It’s the sixth offering by DC Comics and after faltering following the particularly bad Batman Vs Superman, the studio has seemingly found its film feet. It may be too early to explore the long-term impact, but at a glance, DC Films is now in a position where not every film has to carry the weight of the entire studio. One thing the relative commercial and critical success of Aquaman means is that the series won’t necessarily live or die by the fate of each movie. There are plenty of sequels and prequels that could be made. It will be interesting to see if DC tries to span out with other characters or if they will stick with what has been successful in the past. |
