The Swiss generally don’t make great archvillains. They love rules, they love regulations and they love when things are nice and orderly. The Swiss have world-class tennis players, philosophers, and actors but world-class criminals? Not so much. However, Thanos, the Marvel Comics villain who is one of the most powerful villains played by Josh Brolin, has his roots in Zurich, Switzerland. Wait a moment, isn’t Thanos American? Not so fast! A crack team of high-tech commuter animators in Zurich were the ones who created a program that mimicked Josh Brolin’s facial expressions and captured it in computer animated form, giving the computer-generated character a new depth of complexity and realism that has never before seen in a superhero film before. The state-of-the-art animation is set to be the new standard for films and computer games alike. Therefore Thanos may be the first Swiss superhero but he may not be the last. "Avengers: Endgame" is the last film in the biggest franchise in history will be released in cinemas worldwide. As the name would suggest, it will be the gigantic finale of what started over ten years ago and consists of 21 films. The last film which was released last year made over two billion dollars at the box office. One thing is clear – Avengers: Endgame will make a ton of money, no matter the story line.
Over the course of "Avengers: Endgame", Thanos emerges as a dangerous and powerful villain whose mission is to destroy half the life in the universe. Previous films have seen Thanos grow as a character. For his big entrance, he utters a few threatening lines while sitting on his space throne but wasn’t part of the main story thread. However, that changed in Infinity War, where Thanos was at the center of the action. His mission was to acquire the Infinity Stones a supper powerful artifact, that drove the story, as all of Marvel’s heroes scrambled to stop him, leading to an amazing end battle on Earth and in space. But what of "Avengers: Endgame"? Early reviews have all praised Thanos aka Josh Brolin as a really cool villain. Thankfully for viewers, the film’s real strength of "Avengers: Endgame" isn’t heroes; instead it’s the bad guys – who are really always more fun anyways. " Over the years Thanos has gained a real fan following and was ranked number 47 on the top 100 comic book villains of all time.
